Who is this training for?
School teachers, yoga teachers, occupational therapists, day care workers, social workers, camp counselors, parents, grandparents, nannies and anyone who loves working with children!
*You do NOT need to be a certified yoga teacher to take this training.Coursework & Requirements:
This training consists of 18 mandatory in-person training hours and 3 practice teaching hours, during which you participate in one kids yoga class at Onyx, and teach 1 free children's yoga class in your community. This will give you the opportunity to utilize the skills and tools you have learned during the training weekend. Observation and practice teaching must be taught within 3 months of completing the training. After observing one class and teaching one community classes you will be required to provide a copy of your class plan, plus a summary reflecting on your teaching experience.About Pam
Pamela Nixon is a yoga teacher, a mother and the creator of Peace Play. She has been teaching movement based classes to children for 20 years, including cheerleading, gymnastics, fitness and yoga. Pamela has enjoyed years of training others how to teach yoga to children through her in-person workshops and online courses. She loves teaching children yoga through imagination and play, and is grateful to be able to pass along those skills to others.
