Restorative Yoga by Candlelight

This class is taught by:

Pamela Nixon

Pamela Nixon is a yoga teacher, a mother and the creator of Peace Play. She has been teaching movement based classes to children for 20 years, including cheerleading, gymnastics, fitness and yoga. Pamela has enjoyed years of training others how to teach yoga to children through her in-person workshops and online courses. She loves teaching children yoga through imagination and play, and hopes to bring more peace to the world, one little yogi at a time!

Teri Passarello

Teri Passarello discovered yoga 15 years ago as a way of bringing balance to her busy life in the world of corporate finance. She studied Iyengar yoga for 7 years before she found and then transitioned to vinyasa. In her first step outside of the corporate world, Teri obtained a certification as a Nutrition Educator and then a certification as a Personal Trainer. She began her yoga teacher training as a way of deepening her practice but teaching came quite naturally to her and she continued and obtained a 500-hour yoga teacher certification with Yoga Sutra for Life, taught and inspired by Master Teacher Ranjitha Sandeep.

Teri integrates her studies of yoga and nutrition with life experience into her classes assisting her students to develop an interest in the mind, body and spirit of yoga. She has experience teaching to a wide variety of levels, assessing physical limitations, and tailoring asanas to the needs of the students. She has taken a variety of workshops led by Rodney Yee, Lois Steinberg and Pema Chodron and courses on pranayama, meditation and yin yoga.

Teri “bows to the light and wisdom of all her teachers on this path of the heart awakening.”
